This home originally belonged to our client’s parents and needed to be transformed to accommodate a blended living situation with the client’s mother being cared for in the house. In addition to the change in use, Susan (our client – who grew up in the house) did not simply want to move back in to the house she grew up in.  She wanted the house to reflect her own taste and style while maintaining the legacy of her father’s woodworking skills and craftsmanship. The project entailed replacing an earlier addition on the back of the house with a larger addition that included a new master bedroom suite as well as a large family room.  The existing kitchen and family room were demolished and combined into one larger kitchen.  The overall project touched every room in the house and also included a new finished basement space under the addition.
